Heard something similar from Dr. K on YouTube that has helped me a lot...sleep is the most important habit we can build, so we think that sleep should be the first to-do item to get our health in order. That's somewhat true, but in practice, we can only get good sleep if we have lots of other aspects of life in order...eating well, exercise, meditative/relaxing time, meaningful work, daily accomplishment, etc.

hi David, love your work. First of all, you’re not ordinary, someone that can be that prolific in five hours is super special. As I’m sure you appreciate your lucky to have the resources and the freedom to manage your life as you do..

There's really not much luck involved. Between being bullied at my corporate job and literally years of hard work to get where I'm at, I don't particularly feel lucky. Childhood trauma, chronic health issues... yeah I would not consider myself blessed.

It’s too bad you need to follow so many rules in order to get your sleep and relaxation in. Where does your yoga and meditation fit in? And pranayama….

Empirically speaking, yoga and meditation didn't do much for me. Measuring biofeedback with my Garmin I was able to determine which behaviors had the best impact on my nervous system regulation.
