Lack of cash? What’s that? It’s just a construct. It will never be a real barrier to progress. 248 years ago there was pretty well nothing in North America, now there is the USA. The march of progress is unstoppable. Humanity has never been on an exponential curve as steep as this.

I'd day human culture is also currently a bottleneck, as even advanced prompt engineering can be held back by using dualistic and/or non-animist frames. Curious how applying this work to prompting affects things: https://open.substack.com/pub/thenightgarden/p/the-story-state-action-model

The limits of the fluxes of energy and material are also always limiting factors, and building infrastructure will not be infinitely fast.

Plus, of course, the undesired parts of the processes also need to be addressed, the fluxes of waste energy and waste material.
