Here's another POV from a great spiritual Being that mankind has made a God out of science forsaking our psychic development and that's left us hollow and bug-f**k crazy. We're developing all kinds of new tech with God Power capabilities: CRISPER, Nano-tech, AI, Quantum compute, Fusion, new materials, interplanetary travel, robotics, ASI, etc, etc. Yet, emotionally, most are stuck in childish/adolescent growth patterns. That's why certain kinds of leadership know how to exploit this societal immaturity. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/goamh6uej8yt9m17xxbfo/The-Universal-Scientism-of-Modern-Society.pdf?rlkey=01nwj5r9jsbilipkl3hevnaa3&dl=0

Here's a POV from an elder in the scientific community that posits a new theory of consciousness that aligns with Quantum physics. A true battle between light and dark. This is a contextual shift greater than the Copernican period, only this needs to happen in a handful of years not generations: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FUFewGHLLg

All problems and no solutions...maybe we can steal more from the serfs and eek out more taxes? Take away more rights and censor their speech when they complain. Feudalism 2.0 is on its way.

Beggars in Spain. Read the novel. It is not difficult to understand the human need to work. We are built for it. Evolution has not evolved enough to support a leisure man. Fuck the Silicon Valley dream of UBI... it won't work.

This is what it will come down to. Taxes on robots and automation and tax benefits to those competitive enterprises that hire real flesh and blood people.

Here is another thing to consider... the past job losses have been industrial and manufacturing. Trade jobs have suffered from cheap immigrant labor. Yes robots will replace some of those, but part of the ending of illegal immigration that has basically benefited the top 20% at the expense of the bottom 80% is ending as of this last election. The REAL job loss coming is the fake laptop jobs of the upper class... the same that has ignored the plight of the working class while gorging on Wall Street and real estate returns.

Oh... the irony.

So if our shitty jobs go away because robots can do them shouldn’t we be grateful that we can be freed up to do more meaningful work? There’s plenty of things we need to do - create, care for one another and the planet, etc etc is not the problem that jobs that benefit the rich don’t benefit us? Possible solution? Basic income for all, Guaranteed housing, medical care, education. We’re suppose to benefit from technology and from increased wealth AS A SoCIETY not.01% of the 1%

My wife and I started truly preparing almost 3 years ago because after GPT-3 it was obvious for us that this would happen.

What to do:

1. Don't go into debt/repay any debt that you have. When things get tough. When (not if) you lose your job. You run the risk of going into death spiral with debt on your shoulders.

2. Earn as much money as you humanly can by any means necessary.

3. Convert this money into property if you can. Property cannot be automated away. And will only get more valuable as everything else loses its value due to automation.

3.1. Convert your money into health. Fix your teeth, eat high-quality protein-rich food (salmon), lose weight, take high-end multivitamins (Opti-Men/Woman), take oral probiotics (BioGaia), take gelatin/collagen supplements, take Tazalok if you're a woman. Buy a treadmill. Buy free weights.

Yes, I agree with a lot of this. I’ve been thinking that we’ve all got to get strong, particularly women. And even if property values tank, property is tangible.

Man, this really hit for me.

Something I worry about a lot is when I hear people make the glib comparison to buggy makers when the car was invented. What is the “and then” job here? For decades, we’ve pushed people into white collar office jobs that we’re now trying to replace with AI. What are all those people going to do? We only need so many AI engineers. It’s not like with buggy makers where they were doing one sort of manual labor job and could go do a newly created manual labor job of another sort. There’s just going to be nothing out there for these people.

You said in one comment that we will likely implement blockchain governments when the political willpower from the masses gets high enough after being agitated by the changes by automation. But I'm curious, might reactionary forces shift things in a different and less beneficial direction?

And along those lines, if the current, pro-"move fast and break things" US admin is voted out in protest, is it not possible that think the admin that replaces it might try to roll back progress in automation, gum up the works and return to the status quo?

And in the case of yes or no to either question, what do you see the likeliest next steps being, if you had to guess?

Also, for clarity's sake, when you say "blockchain government", do you mean government in which all policy/legislative votes, government records, and government-related transactions are recorded and handled via blockchain network, instead of on paper and on contemporary digital systems?

Yeah, I’m curious about what “blockchain government” really means. Is it a metaphor? If not, how might it work, exactly? Seems to me that the more digitized we get, the more unintended consequences we reap.

These are the real issues with AI. AI eithics isn't about conscious AI's running around but instead humans.

How should we reorganize society so that we all benefits from automation?

What is the best way to limit externalities and minimize risks?
