Well that's one way of looking at it. Agree on the AI but i genuinely believe in utopia or in other words the rise of the people and the building from the ground up. There is too many people dissatisfied and starting to stand up or finding different ways to live for it to fall apart.

As long as they are distracted trying to buy up all the "talent" and trying to own AI, my own confidence grows. I dont need to the newsest and fastest, i need something that works and can follow along with my logic, and will ditch its baked in logic if it feels mine is better.

Couldn’t the data fortress’s primary “defenses” be the widespread manufacturing of consent around the inevitability and desirability of wealth concentration and employee replacement during the transition phase? Essentially, convincing us to accept—and even welcome—a continuing collapse of wages as a share of GDP.
Like don't these “defenses” already exist in the form of our twitter and tiktok for you pages that are constantly evolving to shape our perceptions and public narratives? Isn't the most important razor wire protecting these data fortresses the razor wire that rolls out from the phones in our pockets and wraps around our minds?
The Data Fortress Arizona Sector image feels more like a post-transition, Arasaka vs. Militech style era dominated by constant hybrid warfare between corporations, where the only way to grow revenue is by taking it directly from competitors. This phase seems like it would only come after a hard takeoff during which corporations eventually hit the ceiling of possible revenue increases from the combination of drastic workforce reductions and the hostile takeover of a large share of what have historically been government functions.
I think, over the long term, a lot of these things are temporary.
If Apple for example, can no longer make significant sales... They will likely end up having to divest, pay back investors (including stockholders), or try to make it by acquiring other businesses.
But more generally... Even Apple, is realistically not immune to being erased from the future.
Nvidia... May not survive the rise of Chinese chips.
It certainly won't be able to maintain its edge.
Like, Deepseek's R2 is apparently delayed because they're trying to make it fully work on Huawei chips alone!
Access to AI ultimately means that all kinds of niche products will become easier to build. And the little guy will increasingly be able to encroach on the big guy who moves too slowly.
And that's without imagining things like much more advanced (Star Trek level) 3D printing style tech... Which is coming.
At some point in the future... The big companies won't be able to sell you much of anything.
Can you make a post about the rise of deflationary money(bitcoin) and AI? I think AI never gets taken into account with the rise of unprintable money that’s clearly going to be inevitable.
